[Tyr breathes a quiet sigh as the wind blows across his skin and stops the bleeding there. He hopes that's all the wound needs. He could feel how deeply that spell had to reach through his body...]
...Thanks, Rita. [He smiles at her and resists the urge to reach up and touch the injury.] You've really gotten good at using runes...
[ He shakes his head and folds his own hands in his lap to keep them from seeing just what the wound feels like. ]
It's not bad... It just feels weird... I never had a wound like this before... [ That he can remember. ] I'll try to rest it so it won't reopen. It should probably still be cleaned up, though...
[ And he wants her to come with him so neither of them are vulnerable and alone. He sneaks into the hallway first, looking around to be sure there's no-one there, and walks slowly and deliberately to the bathroom. ]
[If something did attack him--and she can't think of any other reason he'd have that wound--they shouldn't split up. She's long since come wide awake, and keeps alert as they head to the bathroom. At least she doesn't have to worry about Estelle...
They don't run into anything but a couple wide-eyed cats who were probably woken up by Tyr's yelling earlier, and the bathroom's still when they flick the light on.]
...Looks like it's all right in here. You want to sit down?
[ And Tyr doesn't really feel any concern for Riou or Flynn. They can take care of themselves. Tyr has a duty to take care of Rita.
Stubbornly, Tyr replies: ] What else would it be? A curse? [ That missed his throat, heart, stomach, or any other place he's more likely to die by bleeding out?
His eyes watch her move, and he makes something of a face when he sees the rubbing alcohol. This isn't going to feel good... ]
Of course it's a curse. It's just after midnight, see?
[She points to a little clock on the bathroom counter, which reads only about ten minutes after midnight. The only question in Rita's mind is whether the wound just appeared on Tyr or the curse made a person do it.]
Hold still.
[Somewhat oblivious to his face, she leans over him and inspects the wound. It really is just where her own scar is... Anyway, it does still look a little bad, but at least it isn't bleeding now. She holds the cloth to the bottle of alcohol and soaks it, then presses it against Tyr's skin.]
Right... [ He hisses, hands gripping his pant legs. It's clearly been too long since he's had an open wound... ] You're right. This has to be from a curse...
[ That's all he can think about right now. His skin burns right now... ]
[She wonders if his reaction would be different if he still had all his memories... In any case, there isn't anything she can do to change that fact that it's going to sting, so she just tries to be thorough in cleaning the wound. And...a bit gentle. Once she's done with the front of his shoulder, she moves on to the back.]
So it really did go all the way through... [ He mumbles and turns his body to let her see it better. Tyr doesn't blame her for the fact it hurts. Of course it's going to hurt... And he knows she'd be a thorough as possible with him. ]
[Tyr... The last thing she wants is for him to end up with an infection because of the curse, so she wets the cloth with fresh alcohol and starts to clean this side, too.]
Don't worry about it... After you're fixed up, we should take a look around the house.
[ He takes in a sharp breath and releases it slowly. It really, really stings... ]
Yeah... I probably can't use my staff with this wound, but I still have my fire rune and blastia if anything shows up... Make sure you stay close to me.
[Rita leaves the bottle of alcohol on the counter and pulls out a box of bandages now. If he has a different reason for staying put than knowing he has to be bandaged, Rita doesn't realize.]
Good. It's not like we can just split up to look when anything can happen.
