[She quickly shakes her head.]

Tyr, you were probably dreaming.

[ His eyes narrow in confusion as he looks at her, but...is he? His nerves are on fire when he pulls his hand away from his shoulder to look at, just to confirm-

And he's not crazy enough to imagine he's bleeding, is he? Maybe he's just choosing to feel and see the blood because he's in pain... He stares down at his bloodied hand then back up at her, wondering now if it's hers and this is a dream. ]

[As her eyes adjust to the darkness, she follows his gaze, and-

She grabs his hand and feels the stickiness there.]

Wait--you're--is this blood?

[He's bleeding for real?!]

What happened?

[ He hoped he wasn't actually going crazy. He wraps his hand around hers when she takes it, and immediately tries to pull her off the bed with him. ]

That doesn't matter. We need to get out of here.

[ If it's an attack, they might not stop at just his shoulder. Especially since it happened so suddenly and penetrated so deeply- he's not even sure how deep the wound is, but it burns like it tore right through him. ]

Tyr-

[He thinks they're being attacked? She moves off of the bed with him, and while she might not normally be so quick to run, the fact she died not long ago makes her heart pound.]

Of course it matters! How bad is it?

[ He doesn't say a word as he drags her across the room to turn on the ceiling light, not even caring how much it stings their eyes. If there's anyone in here, he's going to flush them out. ]

We'll think about the injury later, Rita...

[ There's no-one in sight, though. Their door is even locked still. ]

[She brings her other hand up to shield her eyes from the sudden brightness and squints.]

There's nobody here...

[Quickly, she moves her gaze to Tyr's shoulder and her eyes widen. Of course, she can feel the blood on his hand, so she knew it was there, but...]

Okay, we have to think about that injury now.

[ Tyr still squints and tries to spot anything that'd give an assassin away, but he can't find anything before she's bringing the focus back onto him. It's not really like her to be like this over an injury she didn't think was there, so he reluctantly looks back to his shoulder himself.

Since he went without a shirt tonight, there's nothing hiding the dark puncture wound at his shoulder although he can only see his blood from running down his chest and feel it trickling down his back.

He presses his hand back over it again and shakes his head - not to disagree with her, but because he doesn't know what to do. ]

But if there's still someone here...

We can take care of it if they show themselves.

Look, do you want me to look under the bed?

[That's the only place someone could be hiding in here, and if it'll make Tyr sit down so they can look at his wound... She does think someone or something had to be responsible, though. Obviously he didn't do it to himself in his sleep, so she is worried.]

[ He quickly shakes his head. ]

No, I'll take care of it. Just wait here...

[ He keeps a hand on his shoulder wound and starts towards the bed to check under it. Hopefully he's not playing into the attacker's plan by leaving Rita's side, especially since he can't see anything there... ]

Tyr-

[He's the injured one. She shakes her head and moves after him, though she doesn't stop him.]

Let's just check quickly.

[ Tyr keeps moving anyway, but seeing that the bed is clear, he sighs and goes ahead and jumps back on top of it again. The adrenaline from the whole thing makes him not even notice the pain, though. ]

It's clear... They must have escaped...

[Rita watches him, some of the tension leaving her shoulders but not all.]

Maybe it's a curse... Anyway, just sit there, okay?

[She'll...heal it for him, she supposes. She has a wind rune and all... So she climbs back on the bed next to him, frowning at the wound. What kind of curse just puts a hole in someone's shoulder? It even looks like it's in the same spot as her own shoulder scar.]

[ He nods, alternating between watching her and looking at the blood rolling down his body. ]

If you're sure... What are you going to do?

[ He doesn't want her to really go anywhere even if, with or without the pain, he knows that if he's still bleeding like this, it can't be a normal wound. That in itself makes his heart beat hard against his chest. ]

Heal it, of course.

[It's really bleeding... That worries her--did a major vein get punctured or something? All the more reason to heal it quickly.

She sits up on her knees and raises her hand; the rune glows as she chants under her breath and casts Healing Wind.]

[Tyr breathes a quiet sigh as the wind blows across his skin and stops the bleeding there. He hopes that's all the wound needs. He could feel how deeply that spell had to reach through his body...]

...Thanks, Rita. [He smiles at her and resists the urge to reach up and touch the injury.] You've really gotten good at using runes...

[And she didn't need to go anywhere...]

[She's more relieved than she'd admit to see the bleeding stop as a result of the spell, and lowers her hand to her lap.]

It's not like they're hard to pick up... Anyway, how does it feel now? Are you in any pain?

[ He shakes his head and folds his own hands in his lap to keep them from seeing just what the wound feels like. ]

It's not bad... It just feels weird... I never had a wound like this before... [ That he can remember. ] I'll try to rest it so it won't reopen. It should probably still be cleaned up, though...

Yeah... I had one like it...

[She trails off, because that's a painful memory--not the wound itself, but the circumstances that led to it.

Anyway, Tyr has a good point.]

You're right... Should I go get some antiseptic or something?

Right... Your scar... [ He mumbles, eyes wide as he remembers it and eyes trail down to where it is on her body.

Did he ever know how she received it? It sounds like it's not something she wants to think about...

And more important, they need to treat his injury. He shakes his head and pushes himself up with one hand. ] No, we should get it together. Come on.

[She nods. Tyr's must be pretty close to where her own is... But they have no idea how it happened.

Maybe that's why he wants to come with her.]

All right. Just take it easy until it's back to normal, got it?

I will... I have magic, too, you know...

[ And he wants her to come with him so neither of them are vulnerable and alone. He sneaks into the hallway first, looking around to be sure there's no-one there, and walks slowly and deliberately to the bathroom. ]

[If something did attack him--and she can't think of any other reason he'd have that wound--they shouldn't split up. She's long since come wide awake, and keeps alert as they head to the bathroom. At least she doesn't have to worry about Estelle...

They don't run into anything but a couple wide-eyed cats who were probably woken up by Tyr's yelling earlier, and the bathroom's still when they flick the light on.]

...Looks like it's all right in here. You want to sit down?

[ Estelle not being here is really good at times like this. Tyr's worried for Rita now, and he could only imagine how scared she'd be for Estelle...

Tyr shuts and locks the door behind them once they're inside. ]

Sure... I guess that thing really did escape...

[ That said, be plops down on the edge of the tub, leaving room for her to sit beside him. ]

[She'll want to check up on the others too, but Estelle and Tyr would always be her priorities. Now, it's just Tyr she's worrying about.]

We don't even know what it was... A person?

[She starts rifling through the bathroom cabinets until she finds rubbing alcohol, and then picks up a clean cloth from the counter.]
