[ These few weeks have been rough...

He strokes her hair gently to try to calm her. There's nothing they can do about what happened. There's no-one to blame but the deities. ]

[ He slumps against her a little, knotting his fingers in her hair. ]

[She knows she's being cynical, and it's not good for either of them, but it's hard to be hopeful.]

How? Unless we figured out how the curses actually work...

We need to make that sleep spell's casting time shorter... We can start there. Or by getting wind runes...

[She looks up at him now at that, the idea turning gears in her mind.]

Decrease the casting time? That...that should be doable.

Yeah...Good idea. It's already after midnight, anyway, so we don't have to worry about another curse.

[ He hums in agreement. Since knowing Rita, he knows that changing things is the best way to make either of them feel more secure. ]

Yeah, it looks like today is safe for us...

[And she can already think of ideas that will likely work...She's sure Tyr can, too.]

Yeah...Let's take it easy for a bit. We could both use it.

[ Tyr's definitely been thinking of it himself and planning ways to make things happen. ]

Mm... I wish we could take it easy for a while...

[ He pulls away just enough to look her in the eye. ]

Let's go back to our real bed.

[Perfect research team. Rita looks back at him, looking a little worn out herself--though she's also concerned for Tyr--and she nods.]

All right. Let's go and get some rest.

[ Serious team!! ]

[ They know each other perfectly! Seeing her look like that, he's worried for her, too. He looks ragged himself, but he's not even thinking of that. ]

[ He's reluctant to let go, but he takes hold of her hand right away when he does. He doesn't want to leave her... ]

She holds his hand tight and shifts off the bed, just as reluctant to let go. He's safe, and she wants to keep him that way.]

[ He shakes his head. ]

Once I knew you were okay, I laid down, too...

[ He walks as close to her as possible as they make their way out of the study. If he didn't feel so weak, he'd be tempted to carry her. He just doesn't want to lose her... ]

[At least he got in a little bit of rest himself, even if she isn't sure how much.]

Good...But we still both need to sleep.

[She wants to make sure Tyr recovers all his strength. She's really worried about him (and she still feels guilty; it's hard to get rid of that). Sticking close to him the whole way, they're in their bedroom in no time at all.]

[He locks the door once they're inside. He doesn't want either of them to be bothered by anyone in their sleep.]

Yeah... And we can have as much as you want...

[He practically drags her into bed and under the covers with him. He fully intends to hold her all night again.

And hope she's really herself.]

[She doesn't think anything of it, just grateful that they can lie down and not be bothered, too. And though she feels guilty still, she holds him tight once they're in bed.]

Mm...You too. If you want to sleep all day...

[He doesn't think she should be guilty. She didn't do anything...but anything he says won't change her feelings, so he just continues to hold her tight. The reason he wants to stay in has less to with his tiredness and more to do with worry for her.]

Let's sleep in as long as we can...

[She knows it wasn't really her, but everything's too fresh in her mind still. Tyr was the only person hurt...but she hates that he was injured like that. All she can do is try to focus on him right now, now that it's over.]

I'm...pretty tired, so... Yeah.

[ Isn't it?!? Nothing else could be so amazing!! ]

[ At least it was only him... At least she didn't have to hurt Estelle... But he really was scared- and a simple part of him is still scared that it could happen, that the next curse wouldn't be so obvious. He could end up letting her kill him...

But he tried to push those thoughts from his mind as he cuddles close to her, pressing their foreheads together. ]

[And Tyr's so important to her, such a good person, she can't even think of it as she "just" hurt Tyr. There's nothing at all trivial about that, and she's also worried it could get worse one day.

she wants to forget about it, though. Her eyes stay half-open, looking at him even in the dark.]

[She lets her eyes close now, and just thinks about him right here, all right, as well as the changes to the spell they need to make.]
