[She never expects anyone to trust her, even if that would be pretty convenient, so she doesn't think for a moment that he'll just follow along, and firmly adds-]

With you. Or are you sure you aren't afraid?

I want to know what's wrong with you. You always lead, so come on.

[ Which is a lie, but it comes out easily enough. ]

Hmph! There's nothing wrong with me!

[She reaches out to grab for his arm. She'll shove or pull him along, if she has to.]

[ Tyr's sure he's still physically stronger than her, so he yanks his arm away. ]

Watch your hands!

[negativegate]

[She scowls and comes at him, this time reaching with her other hand--the metal one, which isn't encased in a gauntlet, but is itself a blastia.]

Stop being so stubborn!

[blackshadow]

—Rita?

[ That...isn't right. He especially doesn't want her to touch him with that. He stumbles back, not even trying to not look scared at this point. ]

[By force it is, she thinks. Her expression is cold, and she doesn't falter at all--still coming towards him as she swings her fist in an effort to daze or knock him down.]

Wait-

[ If he wanted to, he could fight her, but he can't make himself. He trips over his own feet trying and failing to miss her punch. As much as he wants to fight it, he can feel the ache in his skin - almost feel it through his glove when he lifts it to his head - and his vision is blurred by tears and the sheer force of her hit. ]

Nngh...

[negativegate]

[She spares him no mercy as she follows and brings a booted foot down on his chest to make sure he stays down.]

Hmph. You just had to be a stubborn idiot, didn't you?

[blackshadow]

Ah-

[ He falls backwards with a gasp. His hand automatically wraps around her ankle to shove her away so he can...get away somehow. ]

What's wrong with you?

[negativegate]

[She hisses, managing to stay balanced on her other foot as she yanks her ankle roughly away--then promptly relatiates with a kick aimed at his ribs.]

I'm just not waiting around for you to cooperate!

[blackshadow]

[ He cries out pathetically - more pathetically than he thinks he is - and rolls over onto his side as he clutches his ribs. He's sensitive there, especially when he hasn't fought hard in so long. ]

You're not going to get it if you don't stop...

Pathetic.

[She spits it out in contempt, and stands by to watch him for a moment. She's highly skeptical that he'd willingly cooperate, so she ought to just threaten him all the way.]

More like I'll stop only if you cooperate. Let's be clear about who's on top here!

[blackshadow]

[ That...really annoys him. He blinks his eyes clear again, and he knows he should just take her down, but he hesitates. ]

Shut up...

[ He reminds himself that she's not really Rita as turns over and tries to trip her up by grabbing her leg out from under her. ]

[She hisses angrily as he throws her off balance and she stumbles to one knee. He is not going to make a fool out of her! She grabs at his hand with her blastia arm again.]

You're an idiot!

[blackshadow]

[ He tries to yank his arm away, but it's too late, and it hurts when he tries to free himself. ]

You don't know who you're against!

[ She's not Rita; she's not even completely human. She's not even cursed - it's just not her. He has to remind himself of that or he won't be able to stand hurting her.

Nevertheless, the swing he takes at her isn't nearly as powerful as it could be. ]

[She half-catches the swing with her other arm, though her blastia arm is much stronger--and it grips his hand unnaturally tight. The hit still stings, and she glowers at him, snapping-]

I do: you're a nobody!

[Except for that rune. That's the only reason she isn't killing him outright, because she might just need him alive.]

[ It's easy to think of her as someone else when she's like that, but that doesn't change the fact he worries that her hand could simply crush his like a tomato. Rita makes the best blastia—

But that's not the point. ]

You're not that great, either!

[ With her hands both occupied, her goes to kick her away. ]

Shut up!

[If she has anything else to say, it's cut off by a groan as she falls back from the kick, letting go of his hands. Dammit--she might be with the knights, but her specialty is magic, not wrestling like some savage animal.]

[ Fighting for his life is something Tyr thankfully hasn't forgotten. Once she lets go of him, he scrambles backwards and to his feet. She still sounds like Rita... And he doesn't intend to kill her, but he needs to cast that sleep spell fast. ]

[She might not be as accustomed to it, but she isn't weak, either. She grunts, but she shoves herself off the sand and to her own feet, reaching for her whip.]

I've just about had enough of you.

[blackshadow]

I've had enough of you, too.

[ He...doesn't really have a choice. He takes defensive stance with his bare hands and starts to cast the sleeping spell to shoot at her. ]

[The spell is new to her, but it takes her mere seconds to figure out the formula as he casts.]

Idiot!

[She lunges forward and lashes out at him with the whip.]

[ His eyes go wide as she lunges at him, and even though he knows how much her whip hurts, it's still hard to avoid it even as he jumps back. ]

Agh-! Please...

You thought you were so tough, but look at you now. Begging.

[She sneers and pulls her hand back as though to whip him again, and keeps it there, ready to attack.]
